Hanja 한자

Chinese characters borrowed from Chinese and incorporated into the Korean language with Korean pronunciation. Note that hanja is learned in more advanced stages. I will be posting a series on Hanja (much) later on.

 

한 (漢): 1. 한수(), 물 이름, Han River; 2. 한나라(–), Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD); 3. 종족() 이름, name of the race(tribe?) of Han people; 4. 사나이/놈, guy

字 (자): 1.글자, 문자(), character, text
